Long Live Her's

British indie duo, Her’s formed in 2015 when Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading first met at university. Based in Liverpool, the duo quickly became known by playing music festivals and shows across the UK. In 2017, Songs of Her’s was released as a nine-track compilation which showcased their lo-fi/dream pop sound. Eventually making their way to the United States, Her’s performed live at Austin’s SXSW in 2017 with their debut album Invitation to Her’s being released in 2018 on Heist or Hit Records. Doing what they love and sharing their music with adoring fans, Her’s returned to the US in early 2019 for their second tour in support of their debut album. With a couple more shows left to perform, the dedicated band left Phoenix, Arizona not knowing this would be their last show.

In the early hours on March 27th, Her’s was involved in a fiery traffic collision along with their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson from Minneapolis. The band was on their way to a show in Santa Ana, California when there van was hit head-on by wrong-way Nissian pick-up truck. Though it was never officially confirmed, it is believed that the driver of the truck had been drinking and driving when the accident occurred, resulting in the death of everyone involved.

The sudden death of the beloved duo left many fans, friends and loved ones in sorrow. These two best friends were known to be some of the most humble, energetic and lovable people, who appreciated their fans and always making it a point to meet them after every show. With their beloved music to be remembered by, Her’s will forever live on. Our hearts go out to all their family and friends through this difficult time.
