Björk Debuts “Cornocupia” Concert Series At The Shed

“This winter I will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators.” - Björk

Bjork

Björk is beyond capable of pulling anything extraordinary off. The Icelandic singer, songwriter and producer will be debuting her new concert series, “Cornocupia” with a residency at New York City’s The Shed, a new venue that commissions original works of art from emerging and established artists, ranging from music, art, theatre, literature and dance. Described as “her most elaborate staged concert to date”, the immersive experience is an evolution from her 2017 studio album, Utopia.

Not just your ordinary show, “Cornocupia” will have an array of collaborators, such as Argentine filmmaker, Lucrecia Martel who will be making her theatrical debut as director as well as media artist, Tobias Gremmler who will be creating animated projections on a stage designed by Chiara Stephenson, while the beautiful costumes will be designed by the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing and designer, Iris van Herpen. Viibra, a 7 piece female Icelandic flute ensemble will also share the stage with Björk, as well as Icelandic children’s choir, Hamrahlíð Choir.

Björk’s Cornocupia will run from May 6 - June 1. Tickets can still be purchased via www.theshed.org. We can’t wait to see what magic she brings to the stage!
