Quarantine Must-Haves

We are living in a time where stress and anxiety have overtaken our daily lives. Going to the grocery store is a journey in itself and after you have had your zoom conference calls and your work from home day is over, you're most likely in the mood to want to just unwind. While we learn to adjust to our new normal, below are some of our favorite quarantine must-haves we like to take comfort in and to help past the time.

Comfy Coziness

Pajamas all day. Pajamas all night. You’re most likely going to want to be in comfy clothes throughout this time, so sweat pants and hoodies are an absolute must. Blankets and slippers will also be a necessity for those cold rainy days. Taking the time to relax and unwind will be crucial, so grab a hot cup of tea or coffee and curl up on the couch with a candle. We love the Magic Candles from House of Intuition as they’re lightly scented with crystals at the bottom. The way these candles work is you set different intentions and manifest what you desire and watch the candle do it’s job.

TURN A PAGE

Now is the time to catch up on all those books you have been collecting over the years. Fiction or nonfiction, the choice is yours. Some of our favorite books are written by some classic female authors such as Joan Didion and Sylvia Plath. Starting a bookclub with friends or joining one is an excellent way to discover new books. Being part of a book club can help you gain new perspective and will push you to actually finish the book. Belletrist is an excellent book club as it’s all done online and all discussions are done over Instagram. It’s free to join, all you need to do is purchase the book of the month and get reading!

SWEAT IT OUT

You may not be as physically active as you were before now with gyms being closed however, there are still ways to be active by taking part in an online workout program or going for a run in your neighborhood. Depending on which exercises you choose to do, dumbbells, resistance bands and a workout mat are more than enough. Our favorites are from the Tone It Up Fitness Collection from Target. Starting at just $5.99, you can build a stylish and affordable at-home workout collection. We’re also obsessed with the Kayla Itsines SWEAT app. With consistent use, the BBG workout program can get you a bikini body in as little as 12 weeks. The results are amazing and at just $19.99 a month, who can resist?

BEAUTY INDULGence

Your hair and nail appointments unfortunately needed to be canceled, but it doesn’t mean you need to stop partaking in some self care. Indulge yourself in a luxuorious face mask and weekly deep hair conditioning treatments. Your hair and stylist will thank you when you’re back in the salon chair with healthy, strong hair. Don’t forget to give yourself a mani and pedi as our nails need some love too. We may not all be experts in painting our nails, especially when it comes to painting our dominant hand, that’s why we love the The Poppy by Olive & June. This unique tool can be used with any nail polish and help you have more control and steady strokes when painting, so you make less mistakes!

Guilty Pleasures

With a lot of spare time on your hands, you can catch up on your favorite tv shows and listen to all those vinyl records in whole. If you’re into gaming, the newly released Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the best way to kill all your quarantine boredom. If you don’t have a Nintendo Switch or have been having a hard time finding one to purchase, don’t worry you can still play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your phone absolutely free. Available in iOS and Android, you can build your very own campsite featuring some very cute animals!
