JE T’AIME… MOI NON PLUS

I am a huge Jane Birkin fan. Who doesn't love her? Born in London, she quickly became a French icon by starring in several french films during the late 60s and throughout the 70s. She had a very public relationship with Sergei Gainsbourg whom she met on set while filming the movie Slogan. Not only was her talent noticed but over the years she quickly became a style inspiration for many. Her simple Parisian style mixed with a bohemian flair was quickly noticed by many around the world.

When it came to her outfits, Jane would keep it simple during the day and at night have fun and dress up. She hardly ever wore many accessories as her statement item was the iconic Birkin Basket, which is originally a Portuguese fish basket. Day or night, this basket was by her side.

Her outfits would usually consist of deep plunge tops and dresses. Her knee-high boots would usually be paired with mini dresses and her blue jeans were accompanied by long necklaces and loose white shirts with her sometimes wearing heels or even ballet flats. Not only was her clothing style sought after, but many admired her simple effortless hair. Jane quickly became part of the group of many female french style icons of the 60s and 70s.
