Born February 20, 1967, Kurt Cobain was known as being the guitarist and frontman of the 90s rock band, Nirvana. Having found global success with the release of his bands critically acclaimed 2nd album, Nevermind, Kurt Cobain became known as the father of grunge. With a life long battle with depression, Kurt succumbed to the pressures of addiction and on April 5th, 1994 he committed suicide at his home in Seattle, WA at the age of 27. His time with Nirvana may have been short lived, but he made a lasting impact not only on the grunge community but in the entire music community. In 2014, Kurt Cobain and along with his former bandmates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Born February 25, 1943, George Harrison is best known as the lead guitarist for one of the most influential rock bands of all time, The Beatles. While most songs were written by Lennon and McCartney, some major hits such as “Here Comes The Sun”, “Something” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” were written by George Harrison himself. After the breakup of The Beatles, George Harrison went on to have a successful solo career throughout the 70s and 80s and eventually formed the supergroup, The Traveling Wilburys. Having been treated for lung cancer the previous year, it is thought his cancer returned after having fallen victim to a stabbing attack in his home in December of 1999. George Harrison passed away on November 29, 2001. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and a member of The Beatles.

Born February 28, 1942, Brian Jones is best known as the founder and original leader of the British rock band, Rolling Stones. Having formed the band, he was an important and influential member of the Rolling Stones until his slow estrangement with the other members. He struggled with substance abuse and his contributions to the band became sporadic. He was ultimately dismissed from the band as he was unable to attain a work permit for their upcoming North American tour. Four months later, he was found at the bottom of his swimming pool, motionless having been under the influence of drugs and alcohol. At the age of 27, Brian Jones was pronounced dead as “death by misadventure” on July 3, 1969.

He found the luxury fashion house, “Alexander McQueen” in 1992 after his graduation from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, which he earned an MA in Fashion. He was one of the youngest designers to achieve the title “British Designer of the Year”, which he won 4 times. He suffered from anxiety and depression and dabbled in a lot of drugs. On February 11, 2010, Alexander Mcqueen committed suicide by hanging.
