For The Bold, The Bright And The Beautiful

Gucci is redefining what beauty is.

not what it should be.

Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci, goes beyond all the feminine ideals and it’s unrealistic expectations in today’s beauty industry, with the launch of it’s beauty line, Gucci Beauty. Gucci’s new campaign portrays to many that beauty is more than just botox, spray tans, and fake lashes. Instead, they chose to focus on what some would consider “flaws”. However, these so called “imperfections” became the main focus of its new campaign for Gucci Beauty, with its main emphasis being on featured model Dani Miller, singer of US punk band, Surfbort. A little rough around the edges with visible tattoos throughout her body, most would be quick to notice that she’s not your typical fashion model. Flaunting the gaps between her teeth and the unshaven hair on her legs, Dani Miller portrays confidence and proves too many that something we all once considered “flaws”, are in fact just what make all women beautiful and unique. Along with their new muse, Gucci is redefining what beauty is and not what it should be.

With the launch, Gucci Beauty premiered with 3 different collections of lipsticks in a total of 58 shades starting at $42. With an array of vibrant colors and finishes, these long lasting lipsticks are perfect for any skin tone. The high quality lipsticks deliver moisture and hydration with options to choose between matte, satin or a sheer finish. It is unknown if there will be more added to the collection or if any makeup tools will be launched in the future. Gucci Beauty is available through their online website and select brick-and-mortar locations.
